Perfect Paws Rescue Group is a non profit animal rescue organization. Our rescue was founded in 1999, and since that time we have been rescuing cats and kittens of all breeds and small breed dogs. We accomplish this by pulling pets from shelters who are scheduled to be euthanized - and we also take in owner surrenders. We are located in Downey, CA - and we primarily rescue pets throughout the Southern California area.

We have an amazing staff comprised of volunteers - without whom this rescue could not function - and survive solely on private donations. We usually spend well over our required Adoption Fee for each animal in our care, but we do it for the love of the pets.

While the rescued pets are in our care we provide each of them with excellent medical care - including: testing for all cat/dog contagious diseases; spaying/neutering [if 6+ weeks old]; defleaing; deworming; all age appropriate shots; and microchipping - and plenty of quality food, toys and love during their stay until finding their forever homes.

Our Ultimate Goals

Perfect Paws Rescue Group's goals are to minimize - and eventually end - the senseless and sad euthanasia of our abandoned pets; reduce overcrowding in animal shelters; and substantially decrease - if not totally eliminate - the large numbers of strays that wander in the streets of the Los Angeles area every day.

We are striving to accomplish this by:
• Spaying/neutering every single dog and cat that we rescue
• Educating the public on the importance of spaying/neutering
• Encouraging all pet owners to get their own animals altered
