FOR THE LOVE OF RESCUES
2006 CALENDAR

For the Love of Rescues 2006 Calendar

For the Love of Rescues is a project by one ambitious young lady in an effort to help as many dedicated rescue groups as possible. The calendar photos are all pets who have been rescued and are now in wonderful loving homes. The adopters of these rescued pets volunteered their time, moving stories, and most importantly, the lovable faces of these pets who help to prove one of the messages of the project: Rescued Pets Make Incredible Family Members.

Along with these great faces you'll find their Happy Endings stories, Furry Facts about pets and rescuing & Trainer Tips to help you and your pet live happy lives together.

The cost of the calendar is a very reasonable $15.00 with $10.00 going directly to Pet Paws. The remaining $5.00 is to cover the cost of printing the calendars. This is a full size wall calendar, measuring 11" by 16" - with plenty of room for notations of special events and dates.

To order, click to For The Love of Rescues, complete the order form and select 'Pet Paws Search and Rescue' from the drop down menu 'Choose one rescue to receive your donation'.

Once all the calendars are sold, we will receive $10 for each calendar ordered! Pet rescue is hard work and very costly! By ordering a For the Love of Rescues calendar, you are helping Pet Paws save lives and giving a second chance to helpless, unwanted pets!

We thank you for purchasing this useful 2006 Calendar and helping Pet Paws help abused, abandoned, neglected pets at the same time!!

Please order your calendar today before they all sell out - and don't forget to buy a few extra to give as gifts to other pet lovers you know!!

Pet Paws Featured Pup!

Meet our Featured Pet!

Katie is not only a beautiful girl but she is very special! At 5 or 6 months old, she is still just a pup. Katie is a Malamute/German Shepherd mix. She has one blue eye and one brown eye. Up to now, Katie has had little to no socialization resulting in her being VERY TIMID, SHY and nervous.

After only two days in her foster home, Katie has bonded with her foster mom. She now sits at her foster mom's side and places her paw on her mom's leg. She also will rest her head on her mom's lap to be petted. Katie is still very timid and afraid of EVERYONE except her foster mom. BUT Katie has proven that with much love, affection and patience she will bond with her new family.

Katie is totally crate trained and housebroken. She will be spayed prior to adoption, she is current on all her shots, is heartworm negative, and has been treated with both heartworm and flea & tick preventative. She was surrendered to us by her owner who could no longer care for her.

Katie needs a loving, patient home where her family is willing to spend time helping her understand she will be loved. Just please remember that your first impression of Katie may not be a a good one. She will be scared, nervous and seem non-approachable. But her foster mom has already proven that this will change if she is given a little bit of time to get to know you. So, if you would like a lifelong playmate who is loving, loyal and devoted, please call 260-341-5229, e-mail or fill out our online Adoption Form if you would like to adopt Katie or any of our Adorable Adoptables!!

If They Could See Me Now!

Meet Ozzy!

Dear Tammy,

Just wanted to drop you a line and let you know the little blue Pomeranian boy you adopted to the folks who drove from Ohio is doing just fine.

His new name is Ozzy, and his vet says he's a really a neat little guy! He weighs a whopping 2.6 pounds, has a great appetite. Our poodle Sophie is too good to him. She shares all her toys and food with him. I have never seen a dog do that, so he must be really special to her! I switched Sophie to puppy chow because it's so similar to what she is eating that way, little Ozzy would be sure to get what he needs, no matter what dish he eats from.

Ozzy has been a good thing for Sophie as well. Sophie has lost a few pounds playing and trying to keep up with Ozzy. They both follow me everywhere. Sophie helps him learn good behaviors, like barking to go out to potty, and chewing on toys, not toes!

Sophie never had puppies of her own, but she's started cleaning Ozzy's ears, and is slowly learning to trust him to do the same for her.

Everybody who sees Ozzy LOVES him, and he loves them as well. He has so much personality, so much love it's hard to believe it all fits in that little tiny body! I guess you can tell we adore him! Thank you for allowing us to adopt Ozzy, he is happy and very loved.

Cathy
P.S. Ozzy too!

These are the happy endings that we strive to obtain. Pet Paws believes that every puppy, dog, kitten, or cat should have this kind of life and be as lucky as Ozzy is. All pets, whether purebred or a mixed breed, deserve to be saved!
