East Timor In Crisis
This is a recent painting that I was asked to do as a donation
to a worthwhile cause sponsored by ABET - Aussie Boats for East Timor.
This is a wonderful non-profit organization who believes it is better
to give a hand up, rather than a hand out.
I was inspired to paint this collage after seeing the letter depicted in the painting.
This is a rendering of the actual letter that was written by a 10 year old boy
who was forced to shoot and kill his entire family.
They plan to make prints of this painting to sell to raise more money
to build fishing boats for the ravaged East Timorese. To visit their site, contribute
